On May 24, 2024, Beijing Tengyu Law Firm held a seminar featuring "Trademark Typical Case Analysis and New Infringement Forms under the Internet Environment Seminar". The seminar was hosted by Beijing Intellectual Property Research Association and Beijing Gaowen Law Firm and organized by Beijing Tengyu. The seminar invited many industrial experts, scholars, corporate representatives, and intellectual property practitioners, and achieved complete success.

MR. Shen Jian, Partner of Beijing Layjay Law Firm presided over the seminar. At the beginning of the seminar, Mr. Yang Linping, Supervisor of Beijing Intellectual Property Research Association delivered an opening speech. He expressed his congratulations on the selection of "ERDOS" case (trademark review case) into the TOP TEN 2023 TRADEMARK PROSECUTION & JUDICIAL PROTECTION CASES Beijing High Court. He also highly praised the achievements on trademark law research by the research Association.

Thereafter, Mr. Lu Dongsheng, the Director of Intellectual Property Department of Ordos Group introduced the development of Ordos Group and the background of the "ERDOS" case. Mr. Shang Jiaquan, the lawyer from Beijing Gaowen Law Firm made an in-depth legal analysis on this case.  Ms. Liu Li, the Chairman of the Management Committee of Beijing Tengyu  introduced in detail the new forms of the infringement under the internet environment based on the frequent occurrence of trademark infringement lawsuits under the current "Internet +" environment.

During the discussion session, Mr. Sun Guorui, President of the Beijing Intellectual Property Research Association and Professor of the School of Law, Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Mr. Xiong Wencong, Associate Professor of Schoold of Law, Central University for Nationalities, and Mr. Nan Ping, the former Deputy Secretary-General of China Trademark Association delivered wonderful speeches on the non-registrability of geographical names of the county and the above mentioned cases, and the purpose of legislation and the protection scope of the trademark rights prohibition. The speeches triggered warm discussions and wide recognition among the participants, including Mr. Zhang Changli, Chairman of Beijing United Trust Technology Service Co., Ltd., Mr. Zhang Jizhe, Chief Editor of China Intellectual Property Magazine, Mr. Wang Guohao, Chief Editor of Trademark Weekly of China Intellectual Property News, Mr. Shen Jian, Partner of Beijing Layjay Law Firm, Ms. Chen Yuhan, Partner of Beijing Tianchi Juntai Law Firm, and Ms. Wang Ying, Partner of Beijing Jikai Law Firm.

At the end of the seminar, Sun Guorui, President of the Beijing Intellectual Property Research Association and Professor of the Law School of Beihang University, congratulated the successful holding of the seminar and hoped that the holding of the seminar would form a long-term mechanism to continuously promote the continuous progress and innovation of the research results of the research association.
